Skin tips - Exfoliating

Here are my tips on exfoliating your body, it is recommended to exfoliate about one to two times a week but i would only do as much as your skin can take, i personaly exfoliate my body only once a week as i find my skin is sensitive and even using gentle products i dont like doing it to much.

Exfoliating is great because it helps remove dead skin cells which can leave skin bright and smooth exposing healthy skin from underneath, it also promotes health circulation which we all know is great for improving the underneath texture to help prevent/manage things like celulite and stretch marks.

To exfoliate your body id recommend starting by gently dry brushing your skin with a body brush (in circular motions anti clockwise) before you get in the shower - you can buy body brushes at any drugstore and they come in all variations and textures so choose the one you wish (natural brisals are always best) brushing the skin whilst dry does feel strange the first few times you do this but as long as your gentle it shouldnt feel uncomfortable at all, This will remove any surface flakes of dead dry skin.

Next while in the shower i would recommend using an exfoliator scrub, these again are available in many different textures and scents so choose one you like and apply to wet skin in circular motions (anti clockwise) starting from the ancles and working your way up and rinse away once complete.

I would always recommend after showering to use a good moisturiser - again which ever kind you prefer but especialy after any exfoliation.

Apply sunscreen if you are going to be around the sun as the new skin will be more sensitive and more prone to sun damage.
