My eyeshaddow tips & everyday eyeshaddow application

Here are some well known and my tips on eyeshaddow - applying, tips and tricks, enjoy!

To get longer lasting eyeshaddow apply an eye primer before applying your eyeshaddow, some people might not need a primer or like to use one everyday but it does help prevent your eye shadow from creasing, fading or moving around and will also make your eye shadow appear more vibrant.
Eye primer is widely available in many difgerent brands and proces, (eg Urban Decay Primer Potion is a very popular primer) but you can also use a cream based neautral eyeshaddow or concealer that matches your own eyelid tone as a base, this i find alot easier in day to day makeup if your in a hurry you can apply while concealing.

When it comes to choosing eyeshaddow, for everyday i would suggest a neautral tone something like a nice cream/taupe colour with only a very slight sheen to it (you dont want to much shimmer or glitter on your eyelid) add this all over the lid and choose a frosted white colour to add only to the inner tear duct area (the part nearest your nose to the inner area of your eye) and a tiny bit just underneath, running along your eyebrow shape, this will instantly open your eyes making them look fresh and awake (even if your feeling so tired lol)
Choose a slightly darker shade to your original colour on your eye lid and place this to the outer corner of your eye lid and using a fluffy brush blend this inwards in small circular motions, you only need a tiny amount so dont go overboard this will just define the eye more giving it a bit more depth, dimension and shape, all very easy and simple for everyday.

My favourite Tresemme Hair products

Tresemme is a hair care brand based and well known for its salon quality products without the salon price thriving to provide affordable products for you and I.

Statement: "From our origins in salons around the world, we've always had a simple vision: to create stylist-tested, salon-quality products without the salon price tag, so you can experience that salon feeling everyday. TRESemme - Professional, Affordable"

Generaly speaking people may find Tresemme products still that bit more expensive than your every day brands making it an easy option to grab your usuals from the counter at your supermarket (eg), i find that paying that bit more on a good brand makes alll the difference and Tresemme are always adding in special offer buys on there products whether it be in boots or tesco etc so these are definately a must have to look out for in aid of stocking up as you certainly make some savings (they do sell out fast online) and most of there products do last longer than standard size shampoos etc.

Some of my favourite styling products from Tresemme are the 24 hour body root boosting spray (£5.39 250 ML) & 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray (£5.39
225 ML)
both of which are on offer at Boots
2 for £6 (on selected Tresemme Style & Collect 20 points with this purchase)(while stocks last)

Tresemme 24 Hour Body Root Boosting Spray is a "professional formula spray with a new volume control complex which gives a weightless lift to your style"

I apply this to damp hair, seperate your hair into different partings one at a time and spray a few squirts of this onto the root area of the selected parting and rub in a little with your finger tips giving it that bit of mess an mix, then make another parting and do the same steps again, follow up with your hairdryer blasting hair upside down for a minute then your usual drying routine trying to help lift as much from the root area.
This product is one of my all time favourites if like me you have fine hair it creates alot of volume and leaves no greasy residue.

The next of my favourite styling products is the Tresemme 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray " a professional formula spray with a new volume control complex which gives lasting hold and bounce to your style".

This product i love using after i have curled my hair, as my hair is fine and blonde i dont like using alot of finishing products as i feel most weigh down and dull my hair, some hairsprays also can make your hair feel crispy this is great for adding on after styling/curling, it leaves hair where you want it with that bit of give for bounce and movement not leaving it stuck in place like some hairsprays can leave you feeling.

So those are my personal favourites for styling products but their shampoo's and conditioners are also amazing, they smell and feel like good quality and come in a wide range suiting all hair types.
Boots again have a fab special offer at the moment of buy 1 get 1 free on selected Tresemme shampoos and conditioners (cheapest free - while stocks last collect 12 points with this purchase) which is definatley worth while stocking up on, my favourites are:
Tresemme Pro Vitamin B5 Healthy Volume Shampoo (£3.26 500 ML)again as my hair is fine i like to use this kind as it is designed to build body and fullness in hair that lacks volume.
As for conditioner i prefer to go for a nourishing conditioner like the Tresemee Moisture Rich Conditioner, this is said to restore and moisture balance for soft, shiny, healthy-looking hair and protects from future damag as i do use some hair tools i find this keeps my hair well nourished especialy in the cold weather we get in Scotland.

February Glossybox - Contents & first impressions

This post will be about the contents and my first impressions of the February Glossybox.

If you dont already know what Glossybox is it is a monthly beauty box subscription which every month you recieve a beautifully wrapped box with 5 samples, sometimes full sizes of makup/beauty products for a great price of £12.95 including postage.
It is a great way of trying out different products that you maybe wouldnt normaly want to buy as a full size until you have tried it and just gives you a wider range of products to try as a little bonus treat every month.
Glossybox comes in as i said before a beautifuly presented pale pink box with the Glossybox logo on the front, inside the contents are in black tissue paper and shredded bits neatly wrapped in a pink ribbon. (i forgot to take a pic before i untied the ribbon) also included is a leaflet with a product description of all the contents and there full size costs which again makes the box even better as you will always get at least one high end product - most of the time there are a few.
To subscribe just go to www.glossybox.co.uk.

My first impressions of this Glossybox is that i am happy with it the look of the products enclosed, it does seem like there isnt as much in this one due to the last two boxes being in a way themed boxes, the last months box was a Valentines theme in a stunning hot pink box and the one before that was Christmas in a gorgous red box with both having an extra sample included. Anyway this aside the products included are:

                                                                    Becca Beach Tint in Watermelon
Description: This award - winning lip and cheek stain blends beautifully to a non-drying, water resistant finish.
Available at www.beccacosmetics.com and enter GLOSSYBOX to recieve 20% off. (Expires 15/03/12 or while stocks last) This is in fact a full size product of 7ml priced at £20.00.

By looking at the size of this product I dont think I would purchase this as I think it is a very small amount for the price of £20.00, but this is only my first look impression I will have to try this out to give a definate answer as to whether or not it is worth paying for.  So i have just tested a small swatch and to be honest the texture and colour is very nice so maybe I was wrong totally when saying it may not be worth the money!
The texture is very light and easy to blend into the skin with a tiny sheen effect and the colour being a very natural rose shade, this does seem a wearable colour even though it looks very dark in the tube.  The best part about this product from a first test is the scent! it is labelled as watermellon and it realy does live up to the name, it has a gorgous yummy watermelon smell this would be amazing to wear on the lips it smells so edable, so far i am looking forward to trying this out.

Dr Bronner, Lavender hand Sanitiser
Description: A lavender scented hand sanitiser in a handy spray size pefect for keeping in your handbag.
www.drbronner.com This is a full size and is priced at £3.99.

Personaly i love hand sanitisers but havent found a luxury looking one with a nice scent, this  is just that, it looks alot more expensive than the typical gel sanitisers you get and with it being a spray absorbs alot faster leaving a lovely lavender scent.  The price will determin how long this actually lasts for as £3.99 does seem a little more than you would normaly pay but then again it may be worth it.
I am also a mobile nail technician so i will be trialing this out with myself and clients to offer a bit more than your ordinary cheap smelling hand sanitisers.

AWAPUHI by Paul Mitchell, Wild ginger treatment oil
Description: Smooth and seal parched hair
with natural oils and the hydrating Awaphui extract.
Absorbs easily imparting a soft, silky texture and rich shine effect.
www.paul-mitchell.co.uk
Full size is £25.95 for 100ml - we have a sample of 25ml.
I have been looking for a hair oil treatment rather than a styling oil which this seems to be, never the less Glossybox arent mind reader and i will look forwrd to trying this out, I have very fine hair so most of the time i dont like using her products as i feel they way down my hair but i will certainly try this out and see, even mainly to treat the ends of my hair which need it more.  First feel of the product is that it is very oily so i think it will definatly have to be applied very lightly and the scent is ok just very salon like smell (if that makes sense - nothing to strong or unusual).

BM Beauty - Pure mineral eyeshaddow in Noir
Description: Award winning pure mineral eyeshaddow. Cruelty free and suitable for vegetarians and veagans.
www.bmbeauty.com
Full size is £7.00 for 2g - we have a 1g sample.
I am not the biggest fan of any kind of mineral loose powder eyeshaddows especially a dark colour like black, I feel like personnally i always spill them, I just realy prefer a solid shaddow and i have alot so i will proberly be adding this to the collection but doubt it will get used much.  Nothing against it just my own personal preferences.

Como Shambhala - Invigorate shower gel
Description: a revitalising blend of essential oils that puts you in a perfectly uplifted mood.
www.comoshambhala.como.bz
Full size is £20.00 for 300ml we have a sample of 50ml
I do love shower gels but i find that unless its a full size i feel like i just waste it as i do like using alot of shower gel so personaly i dont spend alot on them for everyday use but i do go away alot so this will go to good use as a travel item. The smell though is very strong, it has eucalyptus, geranium, lavender and peppermint so this does remind me of a cold/flu remedy, it would be better if it were not so strong this way and more of the essential oils were to come through.

My favourite Mulberry jewellery

Mulberry is a brand most women will know and love for there classic leather handbags all stamped with the mulberry tree logo, the handbags alone are amazing and there are so many styles to choose from to be honest if i ever did save up the money or won the lottery (i wish) i would find it so hard to choose one (well if i won the lottery not that hard lol but you know what i mean)
The one thing i never ever looked at was there jewellery range, as i dont have a store anywhere even near me i found the Mulberry iphone app and got to keep up to date with the latest collections and fell in love with there jewellery!
They are all classic pieces just like the hand bags, nothing to glam or unusual but most are either gold or leather and top quality, they are pieces you could wear everyday and i have put below some of my favourite pieces and will need to save up or speak nice when it comes to my birthday and christmas!
