Hair colouring tips
Here are some tips to help you when colouring your hair with an at home hair dye.
First its best not to wash your hair the same day you plan on colouring it as the natural oils will help protect your scalp.
Read all instructions that come with the dye you have chosen, some need to be mixed and others are ready to use like foam, they normaly come with a brush tool to apply the dye onto your hair with or use hour fingers and always wear gloves.
Now that your dye is prepared before you begin you should apply a thin layer of moisturizer or an ointment like Vaseline along your hairline and over your ears to protect your skin from stains that may come in contact with the dye.
You first want to start by dividing your hair into small sections, carefully saturate each section with color then apply to the crown of the head, once you’ve finished with the hair at your crown pull the color through to the ends and any extra dye left apply all over the head making sure you have an even amount and you havent missed any areas, i always recommend massaging it all in at the end.
Leave the dye in the hair for as long as stated then give your hair a good rinse making sure as much excess dye has run from the hair and i would give hour hair a good wash and apply a deep conditioner to protect the hair and maintain the dye.

Estee Lauder Pure Colour Long Lasting Lipstick
I am a huge lipstick lover but due to the cold weather (in Scotland) i realy need a nourishing lipstick or at least one that doesnt cling to my lips and make them look a million times more dry than there are, like some products do.
At the moment my favourite and most reached for daily from my hand bag has to be Estee Lauder Pure Colour - long lasting lipstick i have shade 16 Candy Shimmer, i got this lipstick in a christmas gift set and since then ive loved wearing it.
For daily wear i prefer pale pink, pastel neutral colours, i like to keep it as simple during the day so this colour was perfect for me it is however a bit bolder than i was used to wearing but as it has a nice sheen look to it this makes it so wearble.
It is very nourishing and feels like you have applied lip balm before it which in my case is perfect, it states its long lasting and it does last a good while on the lips again a definate plus, but if your like me and cant help applying more throughout the day this lipstick is great for building colour also.
As i got this lipstick in a gift set it is the old classic gold packaging, these now come in an even more stunning package which makes it an even better product to invest in, retailing at £18.50 it may seem pricey but the quality in this product is very much worth it and with its expensive gorgous looking packaging it is well worth investing in a good quality brand and product.
I will definately be checking out some more shades in this range.

Burts bees lip balm
I had heard alot about Burts Bees but honestly never realy wanted to try anything as i assumed everything would smell like honey Lol which im not a big fan of, i was wrong to see they do other scents and even although the range does smell a tad bit 'honey like' its not sickening (if you get what i mean) and also my friend highly recomended the baby care range for her little one.
The one thing i was dying to try as id heard lots of good comments about was there lip balms and as my lips were in dyer need of some good nourishment, as i live in Scotland the weather is manic and my poor lips were so chapped at this point i couldnt find anything that would work on them.
The standard lip balms come in a few different scents/tastes they are a twist up tube and the product is clear and on application, the packaging is basic and sticks to the Burts Bees style - yellow and orange. I chose the nourishing lip balm with mango butter and it is so yummy! The scent is so fresh yet it is nourishing and instantly felt amazing on my lips, it straight away helped my chapped lips and i just wanted to keep applying more and more, overall i am very happy and still am days later so i will be definatley buying the other flavours to try out.
I also bought a tinted lip balm while i was there but i will do a seperate review once i have tried this a bit better and can pry my hands away from the mango butter.
These are a must have for every handbag/car and bedside table x

My 'at the moment' fav nail polish, OPI I think in pink
As i am a mobile nail technician specialising in a gel type polish (that lasts up to two weeks) i very rarely paint my nails with standard polish, but when i decide to give myself a little change i always end up back testing my old favourite polishes.
The one im loving again at the moment is OPI I think in pink, this isnt very 'in season' at the moment but i am a very big fan of pink and this polish especialy is a barbie pastel pink, anyone that loves pink this is adorable in summer but anyhow i have painted my nails to brighten myself up and pastel colours are so in just now so take that daring step to brighten up your spring look.
If you dont already know OPI are a well known nail brand and have a huge range of polishes in every colour possible, they have a great formula making it easy to apply and most could realy be fine with one coat (if you dont feel that confident in painting your nails) i normaly always apply two coats just for the best look.
After applying the polish i then add a top coat of Seche Vete - quick drying, chip free top coat, this is also amazing and a must have in your collection ( i have did a review on Seche Vete)

Seche Vite Top Coat Review
I have heard some amazing things about the Seche Vite nail care range and what i was so excited to try was there famous quick dry top coat for nail polish it also states that it prevents chips and smudging, leaving a glossy shine.
Here is some info i found on Seche Vite the brand. "Seche, Inc. was founded in 1991 to manufacture market and distribute the revolutionary technology that was to become Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. The intention from the very beginning was to provide this amazing technology to the professional nail technician. Seche Vite was the first single procedure non-yellowing dry fast top coat for nail polish that dried and protected the underlying nail polish much faster and created a more durable shield than anything on the market. It is still, after more than a decade, the finest and most highly acclaimed top coat for nail polish in the world."
This top coat does exactly what it says on the bottle! It is amazing, you apply a good layer to polished nails (i applied two coats) still being careful and gove it a few mins setting time although it automaticly feels dry i would recommend leaving it for a bit to be on the safe side, having said this when it sets pretty much after you have finished applying the two coats to all nails, i couldnt help but want to touch the top (not hard or rubbing it) but just to feel how smooth it feels on the nail and does feel like it drys straight away leaving a glossy finish.
I am so far very please with this product and i will do an updated review on how long it helps the polish last.

My favourite jewellery...Tiffanys!

Steps to prep the skin in the correct way for makeup etc
